The City Planning Commission staff will move back to City Hall on Martin Luther King Jr Day (Monday, January 21). City Planning’s office have been located across the street from City Hall at 1340 Poydras Street, 9th floor since Hurricane Katrina. City Planning will move to the 7th floor of City Hall as part of the City’s One-Stop-Shop for permitting department (like Safety and Permits, HDLC, and VCC).
In other City Planning Commission news, their Neighborhood Participation Program (which will improve their notification requirements) should be adopted and the implementation should start by this March. Also, City Planning Commission is expected to release the latest draft Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (CZO) after Mardi Gras.
